Went there the first night it opened, and it was fantastic. Had the kale salad, which sounds not-so-interesting, but was anything but. Light and yummy, leaving me not too full to enjoy what was too come. Had fish, and can't recall having a more delicious (and beautifully presented) piece of halibut in ages. Moist, tender, and deliciously sauced. My dinner partner had the salmon, which I of course tasted, and he (and I ) loved it. I'm a dessert person, and they didn't disappoint. The place itself has a lovely, sophisticated ambiance, wonder al fresco (when weather permits) dining area, and the menu is inventive and refreshingly free of "Southwest-inspired cuisine". Great service from cordial, professional wait staff. We're returning tonight, and I can't wait to try something new, although that halibut is beckoning me...

I would give four stars for the quality of the food, two for the quantity of the food and the service. If you ordered the steak entrees the quantity at twelve and fourteen ounces would be ample, but compare that to the poor scallops or cauliflower diners with appetizer-sized portions. The execution of said dishes was perfect, but we left the restaurant hungry, which never happens at other restaurants such as Geronimo after a dinner consisting of salad and entree. The grilled romaine Caesar was divine and I would go back for that lemon emulsion alone. However, I will probably sit at the bar as the service was lamentable. And please don't ask about the valet parking which involved a long wait and a find your own car kind of parody to round out our very lengthy dinner which did not include dessert or after dinner drinks. P.S. It would have been nice if we had seen our server in the middle of our scant dinner to see if we would have liked a refill on our cocktails.

After hearing buzz about a new restaurant opening and coming from the Bay Area where great restaurants are our middle name, my friend and I ventured in. First off what a transformation from the Georgia cafe, gorgeous and the first thing you see is this open welcoming, outdoor dining 'room' that leads you to a very cool bar, where we decided to have our dinner...such a fun menu! Crispy spinach lemony chips, wild mushrooms, oh yes and truffle fries! We had beet salad, oh my, and grilled romaine...interesting and delicious...we planned to share the scallops and the halibut but neither one of us could give up our plates... Fun and Sophiticated? Well that's how I describe it. Oh and do not miss the flourless chocolate cake, tho another dinner said the carrot cake was even better...next time!

Great new restaurant in Santa Fe. Food and service was excellent. Highly recommend the calamari to start as well as the lamb meatballs or scallops for the main course. Enjoyed the outdoor seating and it has been fun sitting inside at the bar just for a drink. Mark is probably the best bartender in town!
